Our Unique Accomodation
The lodge was built with one single intention, which was not to damage the surrounding environment, and blend in as much as possible. The building design won an architectural award, and our care for the environment during building, won us an environmental award. Thatched buildings shod in an Earthcote finish, hide in pristine bushveld, inviting our guests into nature’s wonderland.

Family Activities
One can be as busy or as relaxed as one wants or needs during your visit. Walks, river swimming, fishing, bird watching, Paleontology, mountain biking, Battlefield visits OR just simple relaxation are offered here.

Interesting Historical Info
The area the lodge is situated in was proclaimed a Natural Heritage Site. People have lived in and fought wars in this area for the last 600 years. We have a fortified Iron Age Man site, as well as Zulu-Boer and Anglo-Boer War Sites, literally on our doorstep.

Brian and Hilary Neale“The hospitality and attention to detail is amazing. The staff are very efficient and go about their chores without us even noticing their presence.”
